Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

The Preston University USA is offering a one year degree programme in Information Technology through AIMS College for those having acceptable qualifications and experience in the relevant fields.

They are expected to do twelve subjects and a Capstone Course Project and earn 42 semester credits to qualify for a degree. They can complete the programme within a period of twelve months or four semesters. The candidates having additional qualifications to fulfill the 78 semester credit may be able to earn the degree period than 12 months .

Students who can transfer 78 Semester credits from following qualifications can be obtain the BSc-IT in One Year.

• Diploma in Computer Studies with over 3 Years Experience

Assessment is based on a mix of 50% examination and 50% coursework.

The course work includes case studies, assignments or any other work given by the lecturer for each subject. The student has to complete the work assignment and submit before deadlines given to obtain the marks. Late submissions will be penalized.

There will be a written examination for each subject on dates specified after the lectures. The students who have failed to attend at least 60% of the classes will not be allowed to sit for the examination.

Duration is four semesters or 12 months.

The following grading system is adopted for BSc.IT Programme.

All course / subjects are valued at 3 credits each. Except for the project report for which 6 credits are given.

• 80 89% - B
• 70 79% - C
• 60 69% - D
• Below 60% = F (Fail)
